Dr Lisa Patterson-Kane – Clinical Psychologist MAPS

Dr Patterson-Kane has been a practicing Clinical Psychologist for over 12 years, specializing in rural and remote and over 5 years experience in providing e Therapy. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and has a full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Her experience includes working with adults, adolescents and children on both an individual and group therapy context. Dr Patterson-Kane can provide assessment and treatment for a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, adjustment disorders and general life difficulties.
Dr Patterson-Kane tailors therapy to best suit the needs of her clients. She draws upon a range of therapeutic techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. Dr Patterson-Kane is involved in both the teaching and training of mental health clinicians, and provides clinical supervision to colleagues, Clinical masters students and intern Psychologists. She is a Psychology Board approved supervisor and is also able to supervise for Clinical College entry.
Dr Patterson-Kane is passionate about innovative methods of practice to bridge barriers to accessing care, she is the developer of Get Happy App and is constantly striving to improve her practice through the use of technology to meet the needs of her clients.
She has enjoyed making media appearances relevant to mental health issues and the use of technology in practice and is a regular contributor for Nature & Health magazine and Mum’s Lounge blog.
